Raising Malawi has embarked on three ambitious projects with the aim of effecting sustainable, long-lasting change: the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, a Millennium Promise Village, and the Raising Malawi-Consol Homes Orphan Care. Raising Malawi recently conducted an interview with a Millennium Promise site leader on the ground in Gumulira, a Millennium Village supported by our organization. The progress has been absolutely staggering: our contact reporting increased access to food, water, education, and medicine. Read the interview here.
Construction has begun in earnest after Raising Malawi appointed Anjimile Oponyo head of the Academy. The Academy will house 450 girls once it's completed.
