Raising Malawi first met Stella when she was a teenager. We were amazed by how dedicated she was to continuing her education, despite being orphaned. We have supported Stella since she was in secondary school and are proud to share that she is in her last semester at university. Stella is studying to be a nurse and her goal is to uplift Malawi’s next generation.

Her favorite thing is helping with patients on the ward. Last semester year she shadowed nurses in the labor and delivery ward, where she helped with reviewing medications, making sure the rooms were prepared for labor and delivery, and monitoring the babies’ heartbeats.

When she finishes this semester, she will take her exam with the National Nursing Council and when she passes begin her career. Good luck Stella!
