HIV and AIDS education for young people is a critical part of global efforts to end the AIDS epidemic. Educating young people empowers them to protect themselves and also helps reduce stigma and discrimination around the issue. Grassroot Soccer (GRS), which uses soccer to educate youth about HIV, held a SKILLZ camp with HoH students on March 20th and 21st. There were 51 participants at the camp - 25 females and 26 males. The camp was a great success! The average score for the pretest measuring HIV/AIDS knowledge was 59.80% and the post test score average was 85.29%. HoH and GRS are already hard at work planning the next camp for students.
